The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Friday, August 26th, 2005

Last Monday, Ate Bubu and Kuya Jonas invited me and Gerry to watch the premiere of "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" at Greenbelt 3.We really loved the movie. It’s a touching movie about friendship…Sisterhood Highly recommended!

Probably one of the reasons why I enjoyed that evening was because I bonded with my kuya and ate too coz we just see each other every weekends since we live far from each other. Sometimes if I have an activity, we don’t get to see each other at all.

After the movie, we went to eat dinner at the Big Buddha. Saya! We should do this more often!

Happy 34th Anniv!

It was 34 years ago when my parents first walked down the aisle and committed to each other that they will stay together no matter what…for richer or poorer, yadda yadda yadda…you know the stuff.

34 years later, they are still together…their bond growing stronger. It is a very fortunate event…seldom do you see married couple sticking together nowadays…whatever happened to "til’ death do us part?" I guess the true tested formula for sticking together for years is one’s relationship with his Creator.

Yesterday, JULY 31, we celebrated Daddy and Mommy’s Anniversary. We first went to eat lunch at Max’s, Elliptical. We were supposed to eat at the orig Max’s resto at Roces but then we couldn’t find a parking space and it was raining so hard that parking far away is too tedious.

34th_anniv_1 After lunch, we went to my uncle Emil’s place in Fairview to pick up the plants he promised to give them. If there is one passion my folks share it is taking care of plants. Look at our house in QC…it looks like a jungle to me. HEHE

Anyway, being a shopaholic family that we are, the whole bunch went to SM Fairview…wala lang, coz we want to stick together longer coz after this it’s back to reality. (Me and hubby will go back to Paranaque, Kuya and Ate Bu will go back to Antipolo, Lanie will be busy with her residency and Imee will be busy with her studies.)

We shopped around and finally when everyone’s tired we ate at BurgerKing…had fun chikahan and teasing each other.

It’s moments like these that we would really maximize being together. Today was just perfect.
