BATMAN BEGINS

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2005

I am not really a BATMAN fan…when my hubby suggested that we watch this last Tuesday during our "date night", first I hesitated…kasi naman, another "Batman" I went…"cheesy"

So, we watched it at Greenbelt. Grabe, I’d like to take my word back. Ang galing nung movie sobra! The best Batman movie ever! The story wasn’t as mababaw as the other Batman movies. The cast was perfect! I mean, Christian Bale did a good job as Batman. He looks the part. Kulang lang cleft chin but definitely the best person to play as Batman. His voice, the expression on his face, his built…perfect for the role!

And the support cast! Perfect! Michael Caine fits the role as Alfred. Liam Neeson (my other StarWars crush) did a good job here as Ducard/the real "Ra’s Al Ghul". Who wouldn’t notice Gary Oldman (Jim Gordonnot yet a Commissioner) and Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox)? They were also perfect for the role. Katie Holmes (Rachel Dawes) justified her role as well.

I only have RAVES for this movie!

Boho Chic

Saturday, June 11th, 2005

The Boho Chic look is very "in." And what could authenticate your look other than boho chic neck pieces? You can wear them alone or pile ‘em up. The longer the better.

The good thing about my collection is that it is very affordable at P110 each. The thing is, there is only one piece per design. All materials are made of wood and are from Cebu.

Here are three of the boho chic accessories now available at dvintageshop.com  (visit http://photos.yahoo.com/dshopgirl23)

F&H

Remember my article about Jennifer Aniston’s outfit that F&H Folded&Hung copied? Not tRetake_024hat I’m complaining…but here it is. It is not exactly the same, only the design of the top was copied. It is not as plunging as the original design. You judge.

Here’s Jennifer Aniston’s outfit (click the picture to enlarge)

Get that VINTAGE LOOK

Thursday, June 9th, 2005

What’s new with dvintageshop.com?

A link called GET THAT VINTAGE LOOK will be up soon at dvintageshop.com. It has pictures that suggests how to incorporated vintage finds to our modern day wardrobe.

Wearing vintage is very tricky, you must avoid at all cost to look like you’ve just stepped out of a fashion magazine…of the 70’s! HEHE

Mark Hamill

Tuesday, June 7th, 2005

I recently finished watching StarWars Episodes IV-VI…oh boy was I in a nostalgic mood. When I was younger, I used  to have a big crush on Mark Hamill coz of this flick. Now I have a crush on his father…HAHA. Not his real one, I meant Hayden Christensen of course!

Mark Hamill was particularly "sexy" in Episode VI. I dunno, maybe it has something to do with his character in that particular stint, he was exceptionally "strong" that even Darth Sidious couldn’t seduce him to join the dark force.

Anyway, the two Skywalkers do have a similarity…is it just me?

Luke1 Mark Hamill on Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

Anakin1 Hayden Christensen in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Hmmm, what could be the similarity? Ah I know! The expression of the face! Mag-ama nga sila HAHA.
